Brazilian captain Neymar says Barcelona would welcome Chelsea and Manchester United target Paul Pogba with open arms.

The much coveted ex-United midfielder is Europe’s hottest prospect and is poised to trigger a mass tug of war for his signature this summer.

The Juventus star has been linked with a host of European superpowers, but Neymar has backed the Catalans to win the race for the Frenchman.

“He is still young, even younger than me I think. I think a player with such quality is always welcome,” said the Barca winger

“How he would fit in, I don’t know, you would have to ask the coach. But he is a great player and we would open the gates for him – he is a great star.”

Pogba, who has been sidelined since March with a hamstring injury, is set to make a return in Juventus’ Champions League second leg against Real Madrid, with the Italian side holding a 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Turin.
