According to Sky Sports Italia, Arsenal have missed out on signing midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia as he prepares for a medical at Inter Milan tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror claim Aston Villa have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Leicester City's versatile wide man Jeffrey Schlupp.

The Gunners are reportedly lining up a £5m move for the 22-year-old Ghanian, having impressed for the Foxes last term in his debut Premier League campaign.

And finally, Arsene Wenger has been handed a huge boost in his pursuit of Porto striker Jackson Martinez, with reports in Italy suggesting AC Milan have ended their pursuit.

The San Siro club were believed to be in pole position to land the 28-year-old Colombian, but Milan have now set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain hitman Edinson Cavani.
