Chelsea FC make €35m bid for Lucas Moura claims agent

The agent of Lucas has confirmed that the Sao Paulo midfielder, who is a target for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, will remain in South America at least until the summer.

The 19-year-old is fast becoming one of the most sought-after players in world football, with Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and rivals Inter also linked with the midfielder in recent weeks.

Reports in Italy have suggested that a move to Inter was on the cards, but according to agent Junior Pedroso, the teenager will not be moving to the San Siro - and won't be leaving Sao Paulo this month.

"There is nothing definite with Inter to sign Lucas for next season," Pedroso told

"The information is incorrect. Luke cannot talk or negotiate with Inter, without authorization from Sao Paulo.

"Lucas does not have the desire to leave Sao Paulo, so we've not started any talks with a club abroad. I can assure you the boy will remain with Sao Paulo until the summer."

When asked if Lucas wanted to join Inter, he replied: "On our part there is no preference towards any club."

Pedroso also reiterated that Lucas' release clause is set at a staggering €80million, although he believes Chelsea have tabled a €35m bid for the Brazil international.

"There is a clause of €80m, we all know that," he added.

"Sao Paulo have not expressed an interest in selling Lucas, but I can say that we've heard from people connected with the club over an offer from Chelsea for €35m."

Liverpool are said to have watched Lucas at least five times in recent months.
