Man Utd and Real Madrid CF both keen on Maicon claims agent

Inter Milan defender Maicon, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, is also a target for Manchester United, according to Italian agent Roberto Calenda.

Reports in Italy last week had suggested that PSG were preparing to launch a £13million bid for the full-back, who last year was also linked with a move to Manchester City.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been linked with the 30-year-old for some time, with the Special One a big fan of the Brazil international dating back to his spell in charge of Inter.

But according to Calenda, reigning Premier League champions Manchester United are also monitoring Maicon's availability.

The agent told Made in Foot: "Maicon interests Paris Saint-Germain, but also other clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United.

"Leonardo and [Carlo] Ancelotti want to build a great team in Paris, so it's normal to be linked with Maicon, who is the best player in his position.

"However, the one who decides will be [Inter Milan president Massimo] Moratti."
