Man Utd to launch £16m bid for Neven Subotic - report

Manchester United will reportedly launch a summer bid to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.

United have been linked with the Serbia international on a number of occasions over the past year and he is widely seen as a long-term replacement for Rio Ferdinand.

And according to Metro citing reports in Germany, Subotic is set to be the subject of a £16.5million bid from United when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the season.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, along with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, have all shown interest with Subotic recently.

But United are widely seen as frontrunners to sign the 23-year-old should he decide to leave Dortmund, althought it is thought the Bundesliga outfit value him at closer to £20m.
