Pepe to Chelsea FC? Van Persie to FC Barcelona? Defoe to Liverpool FC?


- Chelsea and Manchester City are both keen on signing Real Madrid defender Pepe, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, with Los Blancos ready to sell him this summer.

- Arsenal captain Robin van Persie is keen on joining Barcelona in order to be reunited with Cesc Fabregas, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

- Liverpool on Tuesday considered a late swoop to sign Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe, according to the Daily Express.

- Barcelona have turned down the chance to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez before the transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mirror.

- Marseille have revealed they have rejected an "enormous" bid from Tottenham for striker Loic Remy, who has also been linked with north London rivals Arsenal.

- Racing Genk on Tuesday confirmed that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has completed his £7million move to Chelsea but will remain on loan at the club until the end of the season.

- Santos have confirmed that they have rejected a bid from Porto for midfielder Ganso, who has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.

- Santos striker Neymar is closing in on a move to Barcelona according to former Brazil international Marinho Peres, who still has close ties to the South American club.

- Manchester United on Tuesday swooped to sign defender Frederic Veseli from rivals Manchester City.

- Big-spending Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala on Tuesday opened talks with Arsenal over a deal for Arsenal playmaker Andrei Arshavin.
