Sami Khedira on Chelsea and PSG Radars as Los Blancos Playmaker Could Weigh up Options

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain could be set for a battle over Sami Khedira, according to Radio Monte Carlo, despite the Real Madrid midfielder having two years left on his contract.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will, of course, have detailed knowledge about Khedira having coached him for well over 100 games at Real Madrid.Khedira's agents have been in touch with both Chelsea and PSG to possibly negotiate for the Germany international, who has spent three years at Real Madrid.
However, the Blues are already in an intense race to sign Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, and PSG could sneak in with a bid for Khedira. The Ligue 1 champions are actively seeking a new midfield recruit, having already looked at Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye.
Real Madrid's summer acquisitions of Asier Illarramendi, Isco and Casemiro may also have an effect on whether or not Khedira chooses to continue his career in Spain.
PSG have bought many players permanently to shore up their strike and defensive capabilities – most notably Edinson Cavani from Napoli.
However, defence and midfield are still understood to be lacking given their displays in pre-season and their Ligue 1 opening game.
