Cabaye to Arsenal FC? Ribeiro to Man Utd? Begovic to Man City?

- Yohan Cabaye, who has been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, has promised to stay at Newcastle until the end of the season, but admits he could leave for Champions League football next summer.

Arsenal had a £10million bid for Cabaye rejected back in August, and continue to be linked with the France international.

- Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal were interested in signing Florian Thauvin at the start of the year.

"We were following him and were interested in him before he joined Lille," the Gunners boss told the Daily Mirror.

"He is one of the big prospects of French football. He will go higher. He's only 20. His progress now will not depend on his talent, but on his mentality. Only the future will tell us."

- Portuguese giants Benfica have slapped a £20million price tag on Manchester United target Nemanja Matic, according to theDaily Mirror.

- Cruzeiro winger Everton Ribeiro admits he is keen on a move to a "big club" after being linked with Manchester United.

"I haven't talked with my agent yet," Ribeiro, who plays either as a left wingback or winger, told Sportv.

"I asked him to talk only with Cruzeiro and let me focus here as I still have one more game to play and I want to end this league well.

"I will continue doing my job here at Cruzeiro but plan on getting to a big club. It's a dream I've had since young, I've always liked Manchester United."

- Manchester City want Asmir Begovic as their new No.1 to replace Joe Hart, according to the Daily Mirror.

- Daniel Agger has told The Times that he was tempted to leave Liverpool and join Barcelona during the summer.

- Newcastle will move for Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy if they lose the in-demand Tim Krul, according to the Daily Star.
