Real Madrid Transfer Rumors: Vidal In? Isco, Khedira, And Benzema Out This Summer?

Fueled by rising player costs, a mass exodus of the crowded and star-studded Real Madrid roster could get under way as early as this summer.

Based off the most recent speculation, the major transition could greatly affect Madrid’s midfield and overall attacking abilities with the exorbitant contracts of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale forcing the club’s hand.
The first change could come in the form of French striker Karim Benzema, who’s 69 goals in 148 appearances over the last four years apparently hasn’t been enough production for Madrid officials and fans.
According to reports from Metro and Spanish outlet Marca, Benzema’s contract is up in 2015 and Madrid have showed no inclination of extending it any time soon. That reluctance or feet dragging could leave a window open for Liverpool to swoop in and pair the 26-year-old with scoring machine Luis Suarez.
Reports indicate that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will aggressively pursue top talent this summer if his club qualifies for Champions League play.
Even though he’s lost favor in Spain, clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly all interested in Benzema, so he will not be short of tempting offers from top-flight clubs.
The next step to the summer overhaul could likely include midfielders Sami Khedira and Isco.
Torn up knee ligaments required Khedira to undergo surgery late last year, which has obviously limited his playing time, but the 26-year-old is still drawing attention from such Premier League clubs as Manchester United and Chelsea.
According to Talk Sport, United will renew their chase of Khedira from last summer and the German international could help the struggling former championship club a great deal should he regain top form. Khedira’s market value is roughly £22 million, a sum United could meet with ease.
More funds could come from Manchester City for Isco, who’s scored seven goals in 19 appearances since moving to Madrid from Malaga. The Daily Star reported that City could hand over as much as £30 million for Isco, a 21-year-old who was supposed to head to the Premier League last summer before negotiations broke down at the last minute over unsavory additions to his fee.
Other news indicated that Madrid won’t just be shipping talent out of the Bernabeu, but they will also go after Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. As reported by German outlet Bild, Madrid is seeking a second option after thinking twice about Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan and his injury history.
