- Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said he will look to sign "top players" this summer.

"Once you put your ideas in place and once the players start to crack it, then we will have success," said Rodgers.

"Money can't buy that. Teams spend a billion quid and it does not guarantee anything.

"We will be in the market for good and top players but there is more to it than that.

"The money is great and we will be in the market to compete but what is important is still having a vision of how you want the club to progress.

"It is about coaching and man management and dealing with people, having a great staff, finding a cause for the players to fight for.

"All of that comes into it and that is something we have done in the period I have been here. The players believe in it and the work has got them the rewards."

- Liverpool have set their sights on PSV's Zakaria Bakkali in the summer after the Belgian starlet was also linked with a move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Express.

- Standard Liege's Michy Batshuayi believes he will ply his trade outside of Belgium next season and has singled out Arsenal as his preferred team, with Everton also interested, according to the Daily Express.

- Arsenal want to sign at least two world class players in the summer to help propel the club onto glory next season, according toMetro.

- Inter Milan's sporting director Piero Ausilio was at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night  to pursue his interest in Chelsea's Fernando Torres, according to the Daily Mail.

- Everton's Roberto Martinez is ready to offer Seamus Coleman a lucrative new long-term contract to keep him from the clutches of Europe’s top clubs, according to the Daily Mirror.

- Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin will put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Italian club - which will kill off any potential Chelsea move, according to the Daily Mirror.

- Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is out of contract in the summer, is looking for a staggering £104,000-a-week from his next club, according to The Sun.
