Enter Xherdan Shaqiri

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool have lodged a £15million bid for Bayern Munich's Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri.
The talented attacking midfielder looks set to quit Bayern this summer as he seeks regular first team action and Brendan Rodgers is keen on adding him to his Anfield attack.

Alberto Moreno denies Reds deal already in place

Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno has told a press conference that he is looking forward to playing in next season's European Super Cup - denying that there is a deal in place with Liverpool for his signature.
The Spanish international has been heavily tipped for a move to Anfield, but speaking on Friday he declared; "I've been a Sevillista since I was a kid. My future? I do not know about that.
"That's a matter for my father and my agent to deal with. I have four years [left on my contract], I am dedicated to playing [here] and I'm happy."
Concerning next season's Super Cup - taking place in Cardiff against European champions Real Madrid - Moreno said: "Hopefully I can play in that match and win such a big title, particularly against Real Madrid, and hopefully [Ivan] Rakitic will be there with us, who's a great person and team-mate."

Emre Can 'not good enough' says Jan Aage Fjortoft

New Liverpool signing Emre Can has been dismissed as "average" by Bundesliga pundit and former Sheffield United striker Jan Aage Fjortoft.
Fjortoft has taken to Twitter recently to share his concerns over the signing of the 20-year-old midfielder, and he's now responded similarly when asked if Can is a good signing.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Fjortoft said: "No he's not, I don't think he's a good signing, I think he's an average player in Germany.
"But Brendan Rodgers has shown before that he is a much, much better manager than Jan Age Fjortoft, so we'll have to trust him in that department.
"I can't see that he'll improve Liverpool football club."
