Arsenal Transfer News: Wenger eyes £40m Pogba, Gunners lead Silva chase, Reus warning

ARSENAL have entered the race to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba.

The former Manchester United midfielder is destined to make a return to the Premier League, with United, City and Chelsea all heavily linked with a move for his services.

However, today's reports suggest Arsenal are now keen on the 21-year-old in their bid to sign a commanding midfielder, with Juventus valuing the France international at around £40m.

Arsene Wenger has tabled a £12m bid for Cruzeiro starlet Lucas Silva to beat the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and United in January.

Real were understood to be favourites to land the 21-year-old Brazilian - dubbed the new Kaka - but the media in Spain claim the European champions are refusing to meet the club's asking price.

Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke has warned Arsenal that they face a tough task luring Marco Reus, 25, from the Westfalenstadion.

He said: "I believe that fundamentally Marco would love to stay here because he loves the city and he loves Borussia Dortmund."
