Dante wants Bayern teammate Thomas Muller to stop 7-1 jokes

The Bayern Munich duo remain friends despite Muller's teasing about the World Cup.
Dante joked that he's fed up with ongoing teasing in the Bayern Munich dressing room about Brazil's 7-1 World Cup semifinal defeat against Germany, and told teammate Thomas Muller to keep quiet or watch him "explode."

Dante, 31, started in the defeat against Joachim Low's eventual World Cup winners, which saw Brazil exit on home soil in humiliating fashion.

The semifinal remained the centre-back's sole appearance in the 2014 tournament, and also his last ever match for the Selecao.

Speaking on Globo TV, the defender joked that he is now sick of being mocked by his German teammates, and especially by Muller. The Germany international, who is known for his light-hearted humour, has been told in no uncertain terms that Dante is close to breaking point.

"The Germans [at Bayern] made a lot of jokes until the moment when I told them that now is not the time to make jokes about it," Dante said on the Brazilian TV show. "I told them that it was much more serious for us than they could imagine. We can joke about anything but not about this.

"I told [Muller]: 'Stop those jokes, I can't laugh about them.' And when I can't laugh about it, I get really angry and explode."

However, Dante made sure that his comments remained tongue-in-cheek, and called Muller, his teammate since the summer of 2012, a friend.
