"I was contacted personally," Perrin told Maxifoot.

"Arsenal are interested.

"But for now, there is still no contact with Saint-Etienne."

- Winston Reid, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, is "highly unlikely" to sign a new contract at West Ham United, manager Sam Allardyce has stated.

"There is no future for Winston Reid at West Ham at the moment because his contract ends on June 30," he said.

"I would say it's highly unlikely that Winston is going to sign for us based on what people have said to me."

- New head coach Tony Pulis insists West Brom are yet to receive any offers for Saido Berahino as the striker continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

"Berahino is a very talented boy," he said.

"There is always going to be transfer speculation and you can see why. He has great pace, great balance and scores goals.

"But when I came in here the chairman had not received any offer for him and we will try our damnedest to try and improve him.

"The kid’s a very talented lad. He’s got great ability, he obviously scores goals and I’m looking forward to working with him."

- Liverpool will make a bid for Berahino once they can offload Fabio Borini, according to The Sun.

- Manchester United are favourites to sign Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to bookmakers Paddy Power.

- Real Sociedad coach David Moyes is keen to secure funding to strengthen his squad.

- John Carver has confirmed his interest in becoming Newcastle United's next permanent manager.
