Liverpool FC are targeting Juventus striker Carlos Tevez, according to the Metro.

The former Manchester United and Manchester City forward helped the Old Lady to the Champions League final with a win over Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The paper believes the Serie A champions are looking to offload the Argentine after securing a deal for Palermo's Paulo Dybala.

Elsewhere, Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in Southampton defender Jose Fonte and reunite him with Dejan Lovren, reports the Mirror.

The 31-year-old Portuguese centre back was made Saints captain this season but is supposedly available at the right price.

The paper says the Reds are one of a handful of clubs considering him in their search for an experienced, technically-sound defender.

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool have offered £14.3million for Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.

MARCA reports that Reds officials watched the centre-half in the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Martinez, who plays under David Moyes in La Liga, has already been linked with a move to Anfield.

And finally, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has not ruled out a move for striker Mario Balotelli.

Prezioisi, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss , admits that a move is unlikely, but has failed to fully rule out the possibility.

He said: “Balotelli? Never say never, even if our offer would be less than what he is usually accustomed to.”
