PSV want to take Januzaj on loan, which could pave the way for Depay to join Man Utd in £25m deal
Manchester United could use Adnan Januzaj in a deal to land Memphis Depay.

PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands has confirmed his interest in taking the out of favour Belgian winger on loan.

With Louis van Gaal targeting a £25m move for Depay this summer, Januzaj could give him the edge over Liverpool and Paris St Germain in the race for the 21-year-old’s signature.

Brands opened the door to a move to PSV, saying: “If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move.”

Januzaj has failed to establish himself under Van Gaal, making only eight starts all season.

Both Everton and PSG made approaches in January, with Roberto Martinez planning another move at the end of the season.

United refused to let him go out on loan midway through the campaign, but their stance could soften in the summer.

With Gareth Bale also on their wanted list, Januzaj’s opportunities are set to become even more limited.

Van Gaal faces the decision of whether to cash in now, or give the 20-year-old the chance to develop while out on loan.

Januzaj was considered one of the most exciting prospects in Europe when handed a five-year deal in 2013.

He was one of the highlights of David Moyes’ short-lived reign at United, but has failed to progress under Van Gaal, with Angel di Maria, Ashley Young and Juan Mata all ahead of him in the pecking order.
