Barcelona and Liverpool have reached and agreement over Coutinho
Following confirmation of Neymar’s departure from Barca for Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain last week, rumours immediately spread that the Blaugrana had drawn up a shortlist of attacking replacements for their Brazilian superstar.

Atop this list, alongside the likes of Paulo Dybala and Ousmane Dembele, was Liverpool crown jewel Philippe Coutinho.

Ernesto Valverde and co. view the skillset of the former Inter Milan standout as making him the ideal arrival at the Camp Nou, with fellow South American Lionel Messi reportedly pushing the club to get a move for Coutinho over the line.

Deal agreed?
Despite Reds boss Jurgen Klopp having repeatedly insisted that his playmaker will be going nowhere over the coming weeks, a report from ESPN this afternoon suggests that an agreement between the clubs has in fact been found.

The report reveals that a Barca delegation travelled to Merseyside last night to finalise the terms of the transfer, with the will of Coutinho to make the move to Catalunya having played a crucial role in proceedings.

‘Barcelona have an agreement in principle to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool for a base fee of €90 million (£81.6m) with bonuses that could bring the deal to €120m (£108.8m), sources close to the Catalan club told ESPN Deportes’ Jordi Blanco.’
